Quotes: Identity is not fixed

"Turkle's concept of "windowing," a widely cited metaphor designed to describe a person who "distributes" him or herself into multiple online conversations and acts differently among the conversations, taking on different roles all at the same time (Turkle, 1995).
In order to transcend, however, participants in computer-mediated communication first tend to explore alternate identities. While this means taking on an entirely different or a "masked" role within a conversation, research has demonstrated users just as often seek to maintain an identity consistent with their real-world identity."
-Shayla Marie Thiel, 2005

This could be called identity enacted through feet...and particularly through toes. Presenting my multiple sets of toes. (Let's just assume that statement makes sense, shall we?)

 And the toes...

And more toes.

I can't help but wonder, what the hell does this say about me?
